More marketers named organic social media for this purpose than any other
What’s the best channel to attract new customers in Asia-Pacific Region? In digitally advanced Australia, New Zealand and Singapore, the answer is social media.
According to a December 2016 survey by AdRoll, marketing professionals in these locations cited both organic and paid social media as effective channels for attracting new customers.
Four in 10 respondents said they use organic social media to attract new customers—the highest response rate of any channel mentioned.
An additional 35% named paid social media as an effective channel to nab new business.
Programmatic display advertising ranked second in effectiveness, cited by 36% of respondents.
An H1 2016 survey conducted by WBR Digital for Criteo found that two-thirds of senior marketers in Australia and New Zealand said they expected paid social to be a top three ad channel that had the largest growth in the next 12 to 18 months.
According to a March 2016 eMarketer estimate, social network ad spending in Asia-Pacific will increase 33.8% in 2017, totalling $15.29 billion.
